There we were trying to decide what movie we wanted to watch, I love watching dramas and comedies, but today, there were not many options at the cinema.
My boy wanted to watch “Battle of Los Angeles”, I said yes even though I’m not very fond for those kinds of movies, (I just don’t like aliens and all that crap) and we got our tickets, bought some pop corn, nachos and soda.
The theater was almost empty, our seats were in the last row, and in that same row there were two guys right next to us and at the end of it the “Alien”.
I have to recognized that in spite of the same shitty story (the American heroes saving civilians and saving One of the most important cities of the world) this movie got my attention, the special effects, the acting of the characters, anyway, I was super hooked by this movie when suddenly I heard an extra sound that wasn’t part of the movie… a freaking cell phone ringing!!! and I was like “Are you effing kidding me?”, and he wasn’t, instead he answered and started talking like if he was in a park, yelling “NO TE ESCUCHO GUEVON, HABLAME MAS DURO” and then the BATTLE began.
I shushed him and told him to leave the room while he was on the phone but he didn’t pay attention and kept talking loudly, and at this very moment I saw my boyfriend holding one of the ice cubes from our soda and throwing it to the “Alien”, I felt like my guts were on fire and I was waiting for the insults and the fight to start, then I heard the jerk telling my boyfriend: hey dude what’s your problem? And my boyfriend’s answer was: Hahahahaha! Are you asking that for real?? I was so damn nervous I started thinking about the “Alien” waiting for us at the exit of the theater to get even or something.
Eight minutes before the movie’s ending, the a-hole left the cinema and the battle was over.
People
People go to the movies to have a good time.
People buy pop corn at the cinema to eat while watching the movie.
People buy soda to drink it while eating pop corn.
People should turn-off or silence their cell phones when watching the movie.
People get mad when disturbed by a cell phone ring.
People don’t expect other people to talk loudly inside a theater when watching a movie.
People get violent when watching an end-of-humanity movie.
People throw ice cubes to people who don’t respect a common area like a theater.
People are cheeky even knowing full well they've made a mistake or disrespect others.
People get nervous when their loved ones scold misfits.
People know when to leave a battle.
People don’t know when to stop panicking out.
People suck.
I really like the second version! It's a pretty different point of view, you don't tell what happened -like you did in the first version- but you tell WHAT happens WHEN SOMETHING else happens...
